God has not changed, His conditions have not changed. He is still righteous, holy and honest.
He will never change; He's forever consistent, forever faithful. He is still judge of al and still lover of all, He forever desires relationship with His creation but will not have any part with sin. His conditions haven't changed; there must be a payment for sin. Jesus was that payment, but we as a needful people must honor that payment.
For there's no difference between a spiritual bank and a natural bank; you must make a deposit before you can make a withdrawal. Jesus was our deposit, paying the payment for our sins so we wouldn't have to receive the death we deserved because of the wrong that we've all done.
God is good, but His conditions haven't changed. For salvation, being born again, being rescued out of the sin that's killing us, comes a price. It's life for a life. We can't expect to come to God on our own terms and expect Him to adjust and conform to our ways.
Our ways are imperfect.
We need a savior; he has the perfect pathway for those who will live by His conditions.
We know that God doesn't hear sinners, but if any man be a worshipper (living your lifestyle as if your living for God), and does Gods will (is obedient to His word) him He hears.
God is not listening to us if we are coming to Him on our own terms.
Only God's way, by receiving Jesus Christ and being obedient to His word as He teaches you how, can provide the answers we need for the change He desires for us to have.

School of Life Freshman Edition
Lesson #1 The Heart
The Heart is a physical organ but we also understand that the heart is the place where all our desires stem from.
When each person is tempted they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Unless they have been given the key to defeat desire. The key is the Cross. Understand when Jesus died, He did so to remove the guilt and consequences of sin. In the likeness of His death, as a model, as we bear our cross, we make a bold declaration. One that suggests, my life leading up to the cross was lived in sin and death, but as I surrender my life to God and become forgiven of my sins, the life I live now will be brought under the control of God.
Our desires were tainted by our evil nature because of sin. And because of sin, our desires can't be trusted. Our heart can be deceitful and blinding. Once tainted by evil desire, desire will lead or drag you away from all that is right, honest, and holy. Our hearts also have attachment issues. It's like a gravitational pull towards any thing to help it feel, feel certain desires.
Ephesians 4:18, They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
Ephesians 4: 22, You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Taking a Stand is a simple declaration that says that I will no longer settle to live tand be controlled by my evil desires.
How can you if your desires are evil? Do they violate Gods law and instructions? Do they violate your conscience? Do they take from people, violating their wills?
You can consider this as the first day in class. Family class is in session.
